1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kashi Cosmos website (kashicosmos.com) and all services we provide, including telescope experiences, astronomy education, school and group programs, events, and our online space quiz (together, the "Services"). "Kashi Cosmos", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Kashi Cosmos, Varanasi. "You" refers to any person who accesses our website or books our Services.

By accessing our website, making a booking, or participating in any of our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

2. Bookings

• All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Kashi Cosmos.
• You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information (name, contact number, number of participants, and any special requirements) at the time of booking.
• A booking is only confirmed once you have received a confirmation from us by phone, WhatsApp, email, or in writing.
• We reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking at our discretion, including where a session cannot be safely or reasonably conducted.

3. Payments & Pricing

• Prices for experiences and programs are as communicated at the time of booking and may change from time to time.
• Full or partial payment may be required to secure a booking, as advised by us.
• All payments must be made through the methods we specify. Please retain your payment confirmation.

4. Weather, Cancellations & Rescheduling

Astronomy is weather-dependent. Cloud cover, rain, or other conditions may affect visibility on the night of your session.

• If conditions are unsuitable for viewing, we will offer to reschedule your session to another available date at no additional cost, wherever possible.
• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as early as possible using the contact details below. Cancellation and refund terms will be communicated at the time of booking.
• No-shows, or cancellations made at very short notice, may not be eligible for a refund.
• Kashi Cosmos is not liable for circumstances beyond our control that prevent a session from taking place (see "Force Majeure" below).

5. Participation, Safety & Conduct

• You agree to follow the reasonable instructions of our guides and staff at all times during a session for your safety and the safety of others.
• Telescopes and equipment are provided for use under guidance; you are responsible for handling any equipment carefully and as instructed.
• We may refuse or discontinue a session, without refund, for behaviour that is unsafe, disrespectful, or disruptive to others.
• Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, mobility needs, or other requirements so we can assist you appropriately.

6. Children & Minors

Children are welcome at many of our experiences. Minors must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times, unless otherwise agreed as part of a school or organised group program. Parents and guardians are responsible for the conduct and safety of the minors in their care.

7. School & Group Programs

School workshops, group sessions, and corporate experiences may be subject to additional arrangements agreed in writing, including scheduling, group size, supervision, and pricing. The organising institution or group leader is responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision of participants.

8. Space Quiz, Contests & Promotions

• Our online space quiz is provided for education and enjoyment. Any details you submit (such as your name, mobile number, and email) are collected so we can share your results and contact you about Kashi Cosmos.
• Quiz scores, rankings, and any contests or promotions are administered at our discretion, and we may modify or withdraw them at any time.
• Content and facts within the quiz are provided for general educational purposes.

9. Use of the Website & Intellectual Property

• All content on this website — including text, logos, graphics, images, and the Kashi Cosmos name and branding — is owned by or licensed to Kashi Cosmos and is protected by applicable laws.
• You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
• You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

10. Privacy & Your Information

We collect personal information you provide through our contact form, newsletter, quiz, and bookings (such as your name, email, and phone number) only to respond to you, deliver our Services, and keep you informed about Kashi Cosmos. We do not sell your personal information. Please contact us if you would like your details updated or removed from our records.

Our website may use or link to third-party services (for example, mapping, live sky and weather data, and messaging services such as WhatsApp). We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services, and their use is subject to their own terms.

Our Services are provided in good faith and with reasonable care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kashi Cosmos shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. You participate in outdoor and night-time activities at your own responsibility and are expected to take reasonable care of yourself and your belongings.

13. Force Majeure

Kashi Cosmos is not liable for any failure or delay in providing the Services caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather, natural events, power or network failures, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India.
